You are probably all familiar with the movie, A Christmas Story. Well, last night we had some ice and sleet. There was no school today. Our three girls decided to go outside for a while. After about 15 minutes, Aurora came running in with blood running down her chin. I thought she had bit her tongue, but no. She had tried for herself the classic scene from A Christmas Story.
She had stuck her tongue to the basketball post. She lost a bit of skin off the end of her tongue and it bled for an hour. Patience also did it, but did not loose very much skin. Kids sure do the darndest things.
I imagine that her taste buds will be a little off for a few days, but no worse for the wear.
I hope this finds everyone doing well.

It is also possible to lose your tastebuds to a frozen metal spoon that you've hastily jammed into an uneaten ice cream scoop there in your freezer.
Just get a new spoon. That's my advice.
